Information for Students with Disabilities

Preparing To Study Abroad With A Disability

Students with disabilities can participate fully and equally in study abroad programs. Students who study abroad need to prepare themselves for the challenges they will face in adjusting to the environment of a new campus and country. Students with disabilities are no different but may need to take the time for extra planning and advice. The Education Abroad office as well as Disability Services are here to support those students who may face additional challenges in studying abroad. We encourage students to discuss their concerns with an Education Abroad Advisor. Set up an appointment today by calling 419-372-0479 or by emailing edabroad@bgsu.edu. Remember, the earlier you alert us to your disability, the more time we will have to plan and provide advice.
