Pam Conlin is the vice president for University Advancement and president and chief executive officer of the Bowling Green State University Foundation, Inc. Pam comes to BGSU from Southern Methodist University in Dallas where she spent nearly 20 years in advancement and alumni relations. As the assistant vice president for principal and major gifts at SMU, she worked to develop and implement an aggressive plan for growth, and played a key role in their recent $1 billion capital campaign. “I am proud to join a university that is so committed both to its students and creating public good,” states Conlin, “BGSU has always had a strong reputation, and I’m excited to help it achieve its mission.”

Becky Kocher is associate vice president for alumni relations, annual giving, and development operations. In this role, she provides leadership for alumni relations and annual giving staff. Prior to BGSU, Becky served as the director of annual giving and parent engagement at Albion College and assistant director of alumni relations at the University of Mary Washington. Becky earned her bachelor's degree from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.


Christine Hansen

Position: Assistant Vice President for Major Giving

Chris Hansen is assistant vice president for major giving. In this role, Chris leads the major gift team, partners with deans and staff to increase each unit’s major gift productivity, carries a portfolio of prospects, and works closely with the President and Vice President on campaign strategy. Prior to BGSU, Chris served Wayne State University (“WSU”) in Detroit for nearly 16 years. After starting at WSU as the Fund Office Manager, she served as the director of constituent relations, during which time she also served as interim director of information services and development communications. She was named assistant vice president of advancement services in 2012.  Chris earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Detroit Mercy.


Jill Auchmuty ’88

Jill provides support for alumni staff. She assists event staff with University Advancement events. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from BGSU in 1988. She joined University Advancement with over 33 years of banking and customer service experience.


April Baratian ’93

Position: Director of Development

April Baratian ’93 is Director of Development for northeast Ohio. She previously worked as Director of Development at Seton Catholic School. While at BGSU, she traveled to Spain through the Study Abroad Program and benefited from several co-op and internship opportunities through the Career Center. She was a Resident Advisor, where she met her Falcon Flame, Marcus. April is excited to be representing her Alma Mater and connecting with successful alumni!


Doreen Bateson ’09

Doreen Bateson '09 is events manager. She organizes recognition events for donors, alumni and friends, and special events hosted by the University president. She joined the Foundation in 2010 with more than 20 years experience in the restaurant management and hospitality industry. She previously worked as a catering manager for BGSU Dining Services. “There are many ways to say 'thank you,' and I love helping the campus community express gratitude to our generous donors and friends,” she said.

Lisa Bowen '10, '13

Position: Senior Administrative Assistant to the Vice President

Lisa Bowen ’10, ’13 is the senior administrative assistant to the vice president. In this position, she provides administrative support to the vice president for University Advancement/president and CEO of the BGSU Foundation, Inc.  Lisa began her BGSU career in 2002 as a senior secretary in the Development Office. She went on to work in the Division of Student Affairs, both in the former Student Health Service and most recently in the Vice President of Student Affair’s office.  Lisa earned her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies in 2010 and a Master's of Education in Leisure and Tourism in 2013, both at BGSU.

Cal Bowers

Cal Bowers ’96 is an Assistant Athletic Director for Special Projects and Major Gifts with a focus for BGSU Intercollegiate Athletics. He assumed this role in January of 2016 after serving as a director of development with liaison to the College of Health and Human Services since the spring of 2014.  Cal joined the University Advancement team in the fall of 2011 serving as the director of corporate and foundation relations. A former student athlete, Cal played football for BGSU from 1991- 95, starting for four years and serving as captain his senior year.


Sarah Brokamp ’10

Sarah is the special assistant to the vice president. She works closely with the vice president for University Advancement/president and CEO of the BGSU Foundation, Inc. supporting the University Foundation board of directors and members of the comprehensive campaign committee. Sarah started her career at BGSU in the fall of 2016 as the coordinator of alumni and annual giving. Prior to the University, Sarah worked for a regional land trust for over five years as the marketing manager. She earned an undergraduate degree in Environmental Policy and Analysis at BGSU in 2010.


Jordan Cravens ’09, ’13

Jordan Cravens is a Director of Development and serves as a liaison to the College of Health and Human Services and University Libraries. She was previously the Associate Director of Leadership Giving. Jordan began her career in University Advancement as Assistant Director of Annual Giving in 2015 after serving on the BGSU Volleyball coaching staff as Director of Operations for two years. She earned her undergraduate degree in Journalism and later a master’s degree in Sport Administration from BGSU.

Kyle Crawford

Kyle Crawford '07 is system specialist. Trained as a structured query language (SQL) analyst, he helps to maintain the database of alumni, donors and friends of BGSU. He earned his bachelor's degree in computer science from BGSU. Before he joined the staff in 2009, Kyle worked in the legal and compliance department for Sky Financial, Inc.

Karly Grilliot

Karly (Grilliot) DeGroot '08 is a director of development and liaison to the College of Business as well as alumni in Florida. Prior to this role Karly lived in Texas for several years while first serving an AmeriCorps term and later working for Habitat for Humanity. She is a native to Bowling Green and earned her bachelor's degree in Spanish from BGSU. While earning her bachelor's degree, Karly took advantage of the great study abroad programs that BGSU has to offer. She studied for a semester in England and an academic year in Spain. Karly is thrilled to be back in her home town and working for her beloved alma mater.

Kristina Devine is senior director of development for Bowling Green State University and liaison to the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Musical Arts. Prior to joining BGSU, she served as the Program Supervisor for the Secretariat of Development in the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C.  “The excitement here at BGSU is contagious,” she said, “from the students, to the faculty, to the alumni, the enthusiasm for what is happening now on campus and what is still to come is almost tangible. It is a great time to be a Falcon.”


Diana Foster

Diana Foster provides administrative support to members of the alumni staff and serves as liaison to the Alumni Board of Directors. She has worked at BGSU for more than 30 years, and previously held positions in student loan collections, the University bookstore and residence life.


Roberta Garcia

Roberta L. Garcia interacts daily with friends and donors to BGSU, and provides administrative support for the directors of development. She has more than a decade of work experience in customer service. She said the “vision, commitment and creativity of donors, alumni and friends has truly renewed and instilled in me the importance of helping others.”


Stacey Hartley

Stacey Hartley is senior director of development and liaison at BGSU Firelands. She was previously director of development for The Ohio State University Heart Center at the OSU Medical Center. Stacey is energized by the culture of local support and involvement at BGSU Firelands. “Our history is rooted in community support, as area residents first raised more than $1 million in the campaign to create BGSU Firelands. Such inspiring passion to provide affordable education in this area continues today, and I'm humbled and honored to support those efforts.”


Jenny Heinz

Position: Assistant Athletics Director of Development

Jenny Heinz became BGSU’s Assistant Athletics Director for Development in February 2017. She came to BGSU after serving for more than a decade in non-profit fundraising. Heinz served as the campaign director for the Cedar Valley United Way in Waterloo, Iowa from June 2009 until beginning her position at Bowling Green. Prior to that, Heinz was the development manager for the Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois.

Heinz was a standout golfer at the University of Northern Iowa, twice earning MVC All-Conference honors and serving as team captain during her career. She is also a three-time Iowa Women’s Amateur Champion and three-time Iowa Women’s Player of the Year. She earned her bachelor’s degree in public relations and marketing from UNI in 2004. 


Roger Heminger

Roger Heminger is records management officer. He joined the Foundation office in 2012. He previously worked 12 years as a clerical supervisor in the Falcon Health Center, where he directly served students through billing, appointment-setting and customer service functions. He previously spent 24 years in retail management. “I love working at Bowling Green State University and interacting with students,” he said. “I learn from them every day.”


Ann Hoyt ’13

Anna Marie Hoyt provides administrative support to the areas of Annual Giving and Planned Giving. She also provides support for the Falcon Club. She has more than 30 years of service at the University and before joining the Office of Development she worked for Information Technology Services.


Kim Jacobs

Kim Jacobs is assistant director of programming and oversees all Alumni Association activities and events during BGSU’s annual Homecoming. She also coordinates the Academy of Distinguished Alumni and directs the alumni society program. Kim joined BGSU in 1999 as assistant dean in the Office of Campus Involvement, and then joined the staff of the Bowen-Thompson Student Union shortly after it opened in 2002. The common denominator throughout her career is the planning of events and activities. Her experience in higher education has included Ohio State University, University of Illinois, Mundelein College, University of Illinois – Chicago, and Indiana University – Purdue University Fort Wayne. “I’ve enjoyed planning events for BGSU students and now look forward to doing the same for our Falcon alumni.”


Mary Ellen Kellow

Mary Ellen Kellow is the fund coordinator. She drafts agreements, establishes new funds, and serves as the liaison between the colleges, financial aid and scholarship recipients. Mary Ellen earned her bachelor's degree in applied organizational technology from the University of Toledo and is a certified paralegal. She joined the Foundation in 2011 with more than 15 years of legal, banking and compliance experience. She previously worked in Student Financial Aid at BGSU, where she worked directly with students, parents and lenders.


Michael Lohr

Position: Senior Manager of Prospect Research

Michael Lohr is a senior manager of prospect research. He has more than a decade of experience in research and prospect management experience spanning three successful capital campaigns. He earned his master's degree from National-Louis University, a bachelor's degree from Wheeling Jesuit University and an associate degree from West Virginia Northern Community College.


Ken McIntyre

Ken McIntyre is director of gift planning. He enjoys helping alumni and friends of BGSU explore their passions and ultimately discover new ways to support the University. “It is easy to see why donors continually invest in BGSU. It is apparent how passionate our faculty and staff are about developing students into knowledgeable, talented community leaders prepared for success in their fields,” he said.

Sheri is a 2000 BGSU graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology, and has worked on campus, previously in Health Services. Her most recent position was senior secretary in the Department of Romance and Classical Studies.

Dan Meyer

Dan Meyer joined BGSU as Associate Athletics Director for Development in August of 2014. He provides direction and leadership to the Falcon Athletics development program, which includes fundraising efforts for all capital projects, scholarship endowment, annual giving and planned gifts as well as special events and the VarsityBG student-athlete alumni program.  Meyer is a member of the senior management team for BGSU Athletics, after serving previously in a variety of administrative roles over a 20-year career at the University of Wisconsin, Portland State University and Washington State University.


Laura Moore ’82, ’83

Laura Moore is the director of stewardship for the University Advancement team. In this role, she directs a comprehensive stewardship program focused on donor reporting, compliance and cultivating and recognizing donors. Prior to BGSU, Laura served as the director of alumni relations for Owens Community College, the executive director of the Owens Alumni Association, interim executive director of the Owens Community College Foundation and college development, and executive assistant and special events coordinator for Dana Commercial Credit Corporation. She earned an associate degree in applied business and bachelor's degree in business education from Bowling Green State University.

Holly Orlowski '97 provides administrative support to directors of development. She earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education from BGSU in 1997. She joined University Advancement in 2011 after 10 years of service as the hall secretary for Offenhauer Residence Hall. “After seeing how undergraduate students benefit from the generosity of friends and alumni, I enjoy seeing how a University education and phenomenal campus experience inspires donors to give.”


Danielle Parker '16

Danielle Parker '16 is a director of development for Bowling Green State University where her focus areas are the Division of Student Affairs, priority projects for the Office of the Provost, and the Honors College. Prior to returning to BGSU, Danielle was the Advancement Director for the Montessori School of Bowling Green. While she was a student here at BGSU, Danielle served a term as the Student Body Vice President and earned a degree in both Political Science and History. "It's incredibly rewarding to be in a position where I can work every day to give back to the institution that gave me so much as a student."

Sheri provides administrative support for the Director of Stewardship and development staff. She joined the University Advancement division in 2016 with 18 years of service to BGSU previously in University Dining Services, TRIO Programs and Intercollegiate Athletics.


Anna Sankovich

Anna Sankovich is the coordinator of alumni and annual giving. In this role, she oversees BGSU's regional networks and affinity groups and serves as liaison to the office of admissions and career center. Prior to BGSU, Anna managed corporate contributions and sponsorship for the Toledo Symphony Orchestra.

John Selzer is senior manager of prospect research. He earned bachelor's degrees from Purdue University, and a master's degree in library and information science from Indiana University. He previously worked as a librarian and department manager for public libraries, including the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library. “The work I do helps to create scholarships, programs, and new buildings that will directly affect current and future students.” he said.

Sandy Stoots joined University Advancement in 2015, providing administrative support for directors of development and prospect researchers.  She has worked on campus for 15 years at both the Student Health Service and the College of Musical Arts.  The last two years at the College of Musical Arts, she provided administrative support for the large ensembles.


Sara Thompson ’14

Sara is the assistant director of Annual Giving. In this role, she works with Campus Campaign and BGSU’s crowdfunding platform, “Falcon Funded”. Sara served as the development coordinator at Imagination Station in Toledo before becoming part of the University Advancement team. She earned an undergraduate degree in Tourism, Leisure and Event Planning with a minor in Marketing at BGSU in 2014.  


Jenny Wensink '17

Jenny Wensink is director of annual giving and alumni relations and works with annual giving programs including Leadership Circle, direct mail and phonathon. She previously worked as BGSU assistant director of annual giving and assistant director of development for The Ohio State University-Extension at the Wooster Campus. She earned a bachelor's degree in agriculture from OSU and received a master’s degree in public administration at BGSU in 2017.  


Sara Zulch-Smith ’01, ’11

Sara Zulch-Smith '00, '11 is director of development and liaison for the College of Technology, Architecture and Applied Engineering. Before joining the Foundation in 2012, she worked 15 years as assistant to the dean of the College of Education and Human Development. The role involved managing the $2 million renovation of the Education Building. Before joining BGSU, she was a journalist. “I love higher education because it changes lives,” she said. “I'm always in awe of people who are willing to give of their time and themselves to support students they may never meet.”
