Falcons Help
The BGSU Center for Public Impact has curated a variety of opportunities for students, faculty, staff and community members to contribute during the pandemic. Please visit the Falcons Help webpage to view opportunities to meet urgent local and national needs, to volunteer virtually, to participate as an active citizen in democracy, or to donate to support essential services and needs.
Each year there are a variety of awards that recognize recipients for their contributions in community engagement, public impact research, and community-based teaching.

AMERICA READS - Make a difference in the lives of youth as a paid tutor in all subjects working with students in area schools and programs.
BG ALTERNATIVE BREAKS (bGAB) - Collaborate with communities experiencing social injustices by learning about, providing direct service for, and reflecting on a specific social issue during BGSU academic breaks.
FOOD JUSTICE & EQUITY @ BGSU - Learn about local food insecurity resources or get involved in the movement to end hunger at BGSU, in the community, and globally by volunteering and raising awareness.
BGSU VOTES - Get help registering to vote, get information about elections and political engagement, or volunteer to register voters and encourage civic engagement.
MLK Jr. DAY OF SERVICE - Serve the local community on this holiday by making it a day on, not a day off.
EXPAND YOUR HORIZONS - This event takes place each Fall semester. Find out how you can get involved on campus, study abroad, do research, get an internship, and much more!

Upcoming Mobile Food Pantries
Food Justice and Equity at BGSU is partnering again with Food For Thought to offer more Mobile Food Pantries this spring semester for students, staff, faculty, and community members. The mobile food pantries will take place from 2-4 pm on February 23 and March 23 at First United Methodist Church (1526 East Wooster St, Bowling Green).

This interactive webpage features information on the benefits of experiential learning, how to get involved, and various campus offices at BGSU to support you in expanding your horizons. Students who complete the experiential learning quiz by March 15 2021 will be entered into a raffle to win fun prizes.

Project Connect Challenge
BGSU’s Center for Public Impact is supporting Wood County’s upcoming Project Connect, a one-day, one-stop event to provide a broad range of direct services to individuals and families at risk of or experiencing homelessness or poverty. We are challenging student organizations, campus offices, groups of friends, alumni, and BGSU family and friends to commit to donating hygiene kits and/or grocery items for Project Connect. Donations should be delivered to the BGSU Center for Public Impact (100 University Hall) no later than March 19, 2021. Register Your Group and Learn More

This community data can be helpful to individuals and groups needing information about housing, education, child care, healthcare, utilities, and more. With current COVID-19 developments, this resource can assist individuals get connected to local resources.
