Falcons in the Field: Time to give back? connect with a pre-professional undergraduate student.
Support undergraduates in pursuit of post-baccalaureate programs in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, veterinary medicine or law by sharing your professional experience and lessons learned with young persons. The Falcons in the Field program is designed specifically for students studying one of the Pre-Professional programs at BGSU. Falcons in the Field will take little time and the experience will leave you feeling inspired and re-energized!
Falcons in the Field is a flexible program designed to give the student and alumni volunteers a unique ability to customize their own experience. The intended outcome is for students to have a person familiar with their intended field of study to talk to when questions specific to their major arise. The informal design is intended to enable the mentor and volunteer both to give realistic amounts of time in the context of each person’s respective studies or practice. Falcons in the Field can be an email relationship, a phone conversation, an in person meeting or a more formal relationship that could provide internships or practicum opportunities. The ultimate objective for BGSU Alumni is to provide a way for those interested in giving back an opportunity to mentor students by sharing experiences, lessons, and advice.
