Ziggy Time makes it easy to keep in touch with Falcons around the world. We’ve put together simple mini-challenges for you to participate in each month and earn exclusive BGSU spirit wear and prizes. Many of the challenges include things that you are already doing, like sharing BGSU events and initiatives on social media, connecting with fellow alumni, and helping current BGSU students find internship and job opportunities.
Are you looking for other Falcons in your area? Do you already know a few and want to help organize activities or stay involved with BGSU? This is the place to be! Our regional networks of alumni across the country help raise funds for scholarships and programs, host personal and professional networking events, get together for Falcon watch parties and more.
Affinity Groups are organized around a common interest (fraternities and sororities, sports clubs, music and performing arts organizations, etc). Much like Regional Networks, these groups actively support the University through student recruitment, career mentoring, scholarship fundraising, community service and social activities.
One of BGSU's most valuable resources is its network of alumni. More colleges and programs than ever are competing for a limited number of college-age applicants, and this challenging environment isn't likely to ease in the near future. That's why you are so important: first-hand experience of BGSU's history, traditions, and spirit gives Falcon graduates a unique voice in speaking to young people about the value of a BGSU diploma.
Members of the Bowling Green State University Young Alumni Council (BGSU YAC) serve as ambassadors for BGSU and the BGSU Alumni Office to the all alumni, friends, family and members of the BGSU community. The Young Alumni Council advocates for the interests of recent alumni and fosters relationships between the University and recent alumni. Recent alumni, or Young Alumni are terms used to describe those alumni who have graduated within the past 0-10 years.
Join BGSU alumni and BGSU Libraries for an online book club covering professional development and personal growth topics related to careers and leadership. The book club connects through a private LinkedIn Group where participants can discuss the current book and network with each other. Joining the book club is completely free for alumni, you just need a copy of the book to enjoy.
The BGSU Career Center assists students and alumni with a variety of career preparation areas including career exploration, resume development and critiques, cover letter development and critiques, interview preparation, mock interviews, job and internship search strategies, graduate school preparation, statement of purpose assistance, and more!
