Please check back soon for updates on the Fall Semester.

We value the health & safety of graduate students and are modifying our events and procedures for the rest of the Spring.

Graduate Student Senate General Assembly Meetings
The in-person meetings have been canceled. The senate will meet virtually. More information will be sent directly to senators.
Spring 2020 Funding for Professional Development Award Recipients
The University has canceled. Unfortunately, that means that we will not be able to reimburse funding for travel for the remainder of the semester. Any travel prior this announcement can be honored. Memberships can still be reimbursed. Some of you may ask where the unused funds will be used for in the future. We are still considering options for this.

Welcome letter from the BGSU Graduate Student Senate
Dear BGSU Graduate Students,
On behalf of the Graduate Student Senate (GSS), we would like to offer all of you a warm welcome to Bowling Green State University! You are joining a unique community of diverse, inclusive, and enthusiastic students here. We hope that your experience at BGSU is great!
GSS is the leading student organization at BGSU representing the needs, interests, and opinions of all graduate students. We strive to ensure just representation and treatment of all graduate students and to enhance your academic and social experiences at BGSU.
Each academic department/program, as recognized by the Graduate College, is eligible for representation in GSS. You are encouraged to represent your department or organization as graduate student senators. As a senator, you can
- Learn the latest issues affecting the graduate population
- Bring individual graduate student and departmental needs to the general assembly
- Vote on issues and concerns impacting graduate student life
- Represent graduate students on university committees
If you are interested in GSS, but want more information, please feel free to come to our biweekly General Assembly meetings in the McFall Gallery. You can talk to the senators or officers about opportunities for participation. We want you to get involved and make your voice heard.
We always appreciate open communication as we serve the graduate student population. If you have any concerns or questions, please contact us at email@example.com or stop by the GSS Office (130 McFall Center, located within the Graduate College Suite). We look forward to meeting you!
All the best,
Robin Hershkowitz, GSS President (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Ashley Hendricks, GSS Vice President (email@example.com)
