Student Insurance Program

United HealthCare Student Resources is the student health insurance provider.
Bowling Green State University requires students to have health insurance.
All domestic students taking 8 or more credit hours on main campus will need to complete the health insurance requirement each academic year. Correspondence, Online, and Distance Learning Classes are not considered to be "on main campus" for the health insurance requirement purpose.
All international students taking one or more credit hours will be required to enroll into the BGSU/United Healthcare Student Resources 2020-2021 health insurance plan.
Plan effective dates are August 15, 2020 - August 14, 2021.

COST & EFFECTIVE DATES
- The annual plan covers you for 12 months but you will be billed for the entire year on your fall tuition bill.
- The fall plan covers you for 4.5 months
- The spring plan covers you for 7.5 months
Fall Semester |
If you are enrolling in the plan for the fall semester, you will have the option to enroll in the plan for the entire year, or just the semester.
If you choose the fall semester plan, you will be required to go through the enroll/waive process again for spring. |

Spring Semester | If you are enrolling in the plan for the spring semester, you will receive health insurance coverage for the entire spring semester and through out the summer.
