Highly Qualified Faculty

Purpose of Faculty Qualifications and Credentials

The purpose of the Faculty Qualifications and Credentials is to provide information about the credentialing and verification process for faculty members at Bowling Green State University (BGSU).  The guidelines included in this document applies to all faculty members whose primary responsibility is teaching, including part-time, adjunct, dual credit, temporary and/or non-tenure-track faculty.  All full-time and part-time faculty of record must be appropriately credentialed and should have completed a program of study in the discipline or subfield (as applicable) in which they teach.  They should also meet and/or exceed the minimum requirement of BGSU’s policy, and the Higher Learning Commission, of which BGSU is a member institution, as well as the Ohio Department of Higher Education.
