Preparation for Mortuary Science

The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science offers the bachelor in mortuary science degree. Students planning to transfer into this program after two years at Bowling Green must pass a 60-hour minimum requirement to enter. The following are recommended but the student is responsible for checking final admission requirements:
- Anatomy and physiology with labs (full year)
- Basic cardiac life support (one semester)
- Business management (one semester)
- Business law (one semester)
- College algebra (one semester)
- Comparative religion (one semester)
- English composition (one semester)
- Financial accounting (one semester)
- Fine art general education elective (one semester)
- Foreign language elective (one semester, Spanish or American Sign Language recommended)
- General or organic chemistry or biochemistry (one semester)
- Introductory psychology (one semester)
- Introductory sociology (one semester)
- Medical terminology (one semester)
- Pathophysiology (one semester)
- Public speaking (one semester)
Students should be aware that a series of vaccinations will be required prior to entrance to a mortuary science program. Therefore, students will need to plan for admission several months in advance.
