Campus Update Submission

Campus Update is a service managed by the Office of Marketing and Brand Strategy. Campus Update gives BGSU faculty, staff, students and representatives of identified University clubs and organizations opportunities to communicate with the BGSU community about updates and events.

MBS staff manually processes each submitted request, so the frequency and timing of when Campus Update is sent may vary throughout the year.

In order to ensure your Campus Update submission is accepted and published, please read and follow the submission requirements and guidelines carefully.

Please note: Campus Update submission requests are generally not accepted from outside individuals, vendors or for-profit organizations.

Submission Requirements and Guidelines

  • Campus update is published after 3 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays through the week of April 21.
  • Requests must be submitted a minimum of two (2) business days in advance of your desired publication date. Requests made after the deadline will either be pushed to the next publication date or will be denied.
  • Do not submit a request to publish the same day as the program, event date or deadline.
  • Submissions should not exceed 140 words.
  • Only BGSU faculty, staff, students and representatives of identified University clubs and organizations may post news items on Campus Update.
  • The Office of Marketing and Brand Strategy reserves the right to edit submissions for grammar, spelling and content where necessary. All submissions will be reviewed, and only requests that follow submission guidelines and are deemed to be appropriate for the University community will be published.
