Homecoming Video Transcript

President Rogers, "Falcons! I am thrilled to share an exciting announcement – our 2021 Homecoming dates.

While we had to pivot to a virtual experience last year, we are returning to an even better normal this fall, which includes an in-person Homecoming!

We have been working on an exciting schedule of events and activities to engage our whole community and celebrate Bowling Green State University!

While adhering to health and safety guidelines, we are preparing to host a Homecoming unlike any other, offering both in-person and virtual events.

I am also personally guaranteeing warm and sunny weather next fall, right here in Bowling Green.

Please mark your calendars for September 16 through 19, 2021!

It will be a historic Homecoming as we celebrate the successful completion of our largest fundraising effort, the Changing Lives for the World campaign. Our alumni, friends and donors stepped up, and we raised more than $255 million in support of our mission to create public good.

We are also bringing back Falconland, an interactive experience that uniquely showcases BGSU, tailored specifically for our students, alumni, parents, families and friends.

You’ll also be able to run the Freddie and Frieda 5k!

Our faculty will be offering mini-master classes.

You can participate in cooking lessons and events at BGSU Dining’s Teaching Kitchen.

If you are an early riser, come out to the Bowen-Thompson Quadrangle for morning yoga and meditation.

Our colleges and affinity groups will be back at Falcon Tailgate Park prior to kick-off.

And be sure to make plans to watch Falcon Football on Saturday, with a fireworks display immediately following the game at the Doyt!

If you can’t make it to Bowling Green that weekend, we are going to bring Homecoming to our more than 195,000 living alumni and our friends all over the world.

We are curating virtual BGSU Homecoming events and activities and those will be available for our community.

It will be a Homecoming to remember, so make your plans now for September 16 through 19, 2021.

More information will be available soon at bgsu.edu/homecoming. I cannot wait to see you in-person and virtually.

Ay Ziggy Zoomba!"
