Ohio Bobcats vs. Bowling Green Falcons

Doyt Perry Stadium | 3:30 p.m.

Parade & Taste of BG

BGSU invites you to participate in the Homecoming Parade on Friday, October 13, and to incorporate the Parade theme “BG Falcons: United as one and second to none” into the float design. The Parade will also include the undergraduate Homecoming Court, local dignitaries, special entries and members of the Bowling Green community.  The Parade starts at 5:30 p.m., traveling from South Grove and Wooster to Wooster and Mercer.  After the Parade, join us to connect, socialize, reminisce and enjoy live entertainment at the Taste of BG  in the Falcon Tailgate Park area southwest of the Doyt.  Arrive early for samples from your favorite local restaurants (while quantities last)!

Float building is a great experience for students and a great opportunity to fellowship with members from other student organizations through a float partnership.

Register your 2017 Homecoming Parade Float

Deadline is noon on Monday, September 25

Special entries comprise all entries not in the float, local dignitary, or Homecoming Court categories. Examples include: local school boards, dance teams, and city offices. Entries should be creative and distinctive. Ingenuity is strongly encouraged.

The Pep Rally occurs in Falcon Tailgate Park on Saturday, October 14, at 12:45 p.m. Kickoff at 3:30 p.m.

Homecoming 2017 would not be complete without a royal court! One of the most time-honored traditions at Bowling Green State University is Homecoming royalty. As a member of the BGSU community, you may nominate students for the Court who are full-time students and who have achieved senior status for the Court. Nominees must be graduating in December 2017 or May or August 2018. Homecoming Court candidates should demonstrate commitment in and out of the classroom and show BGSU spirit. The Homecoming King and Queen, elected from this Court, will serve as ambassadors for the University. This year, each member of the Homecoming Court will be raising funds for areas on campus that is meaningful to them. Projects will be live on BGSU’s crowdfunding platform, Falcon Funded, October 9th – 14th.
