WBGU-PBS hosts kids extravaganza June 5

BOWLING GREEN, O.—For a ninth straight year, WBGU-PBS will have a giant dog and a red-eyed tree frog roaming around its building. It’s all part of the Kids Extravaganza on June 5. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. kids can meet Clifford the Big Red Dog and Ruby the Red-Eyed Tree Frog, as well as enjoy games, inflatable play areas, crafts and entertainment.

The day begins with a military recognition breakfast at 9 a.m. for military service members and their families, followed by tours of the television station, and then they can enjoy all of the day’s activities for free. Military families must RSVP by June 3 at http://www.mypunchbowl.com/parties/871033-military-family-recognition-breakfast-activities.

During the day, WBGU-PBS will videotape veterans and/or family members talking about the impact of military service on their lives, and the challenges of transitioning after deployment. These stories will be online as part of WBGU-PBS’s Operation Reconnect.

Admission to the WBGU-PBS Kids Extravaganza is free, but there is a small fee for concessions and some activities.

For more information, call WBGU-PBS’ Member Services, at 419-372-7024, or toll-free 1-888-892-0010.
