  • BGSU donates dining hall to Lake Schools Aug 10, 2010 12:05 PM The construction of another new dining hall on Bowling Green State University’s campus is benefitting Lake Township Schools. Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services, which runs dining services at BGSU and Lake, is donating the contents of the now defunct Commons Dining Center to Lake. The school will receive everything from a double convection oven to tables and chairs and even serving spoons. Commons is being demolished later this year to make way for a new dining center.

  • New public art work installed at Huntington Arena Aug 2, 2010 12:16 PM The Maumee River is flowing on the wall of the new Huntington Center in downtown Toledo — a river of colorful recycled plastic toys, kitchen utensils and more. Titled “Re-surgence,” the new public artwork was created by a team from Bowling Green State University and is being installed this week. The Arts Commission of Greater Toledo selected the BGSU proposal through a competitive national process as part of its Art in Public Places program.
