Travel recommendations

Based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and U.S. Department of State, Bowling Green State University has suspended all University-supported travel to mainland China until further notice.

The U.S. Department of State has issued a Level 4: Do Not Travel advisory for China due to the novel coronavirus first identified in Wuhan, China.

According to the advisory, travelers should be prepared for travel restrictions with little or no advance notice; commercial carriers have reduced or suspended routes to and from China.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention continues a Level 3 advisory, advising against nonessential travel.

We recommend that students, faculty and staff planning personal travel monitor the U.S. Department of State and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for the most current information.
