Jacqui Barchick joins BGSU from a professional background in marketing and advertising. She made the grand leap into marketing higher education after serving as a creative director and associate creative director for area marketing agencies. Branding and graphic design are in her wheelhouse, the university setting feeds her love of learning and she finds mentoring students energizing.
She brings to the Creative Director role an inherent curiosity, “yes, and” mindset, leadership and mentoring skills and a passion for design. A knack for breaking down complex ideas and presenting them in an easy-to-digest way serves her well. Cultivating a creative culture that is inclusive where diverse ideas thrive is her approach to team building.
She has contributed several presentations to colleagues and leadership teams on the topics of branding, graphic design principles, persona development and inclusive design.
