Student Ambassadors

The Student Ambassador Program consists of exemplary students who represent the School of Media and Communication (SMC) and meet with prospective students throughout the academic year. As SMC student leaders, they are well positioned to talk with prospective students about our program and student life at BGSU.

Dr. Bailey Dick is the Faculty Advisor of the Student Ambassador Program. If you have any questions, please contact her at bdick@bgsu.edu.

Favorite thing about BGSU: The opportunities that BGSU provides allow me to gain experience in my field that I would have otherwise never had a chance to gain at a larger university.

Why choose current major and favorite class: Broadcasting has been a passion of mine before I even knew what it was. I would always pretend to host my own radio shows, interview fake people, and mimic what the news anchors on the evening news would do. As I aged, I began to take a serious interest in the field. So serious, that I decided to major in broadcasting as soon as freshman year of high school arrived. Now I am a broadcast journalism major and I am fulfilling my childhood dream. My favorite class would be JOUR 2000. Professor Crighton does a fantastic job of teaching the basics to journalism and showing how they are used by having students write their own articles and news scripts.
