Cultural Studies Collaborations

The American Cultural Studies Program at Bowling Green State University has always emphasised the need for collaboration and communication between different branches of study in the humanities, resisting a segregated approach to research and other academic work. It is an actively interdisciplinary program that understands that boundaries between different schools, methodologies and groups within the humanities are not air tight.

The ACS program encourages a healthy interaction and debate among different schools, departments and groups, and towards that end, actively collaborates with  the Department of Popular Culture, the Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program, and the Department of Ethnic Studies, among others. It also supports organizations like the Institute for the Study of Culture & Society, as well as student-run groups like the Culture Club.
