Health and Benefits Fair Oct. 7
BGSU community members are encouraged to “Hit the Wellness Jackpot” at the Health Fair tomorrow (Oct. 7). From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Lenhart Grand Ballroom at the Bowen-Thompson Student Union, visitors can talk to benefits staff from human resources and other representatives to learn more about open enrollment.
They can have a health screening, learn about wholesome eating, take part in wellness activities, and enjoy the fall harvest at the farmers market.
Auditions announced for two youth theater productions
BGSU Firelands’ Caryl Crane Youth Theatre is holding open auditions for its upcoming productions of “I’m Dreaming of a BROADWAY Christmas” and “Mame.” Auditions for both plays will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 15 and 16 in Room A of the Huron Public Library at 333 Williams St. in Huron.
“I’m Dreaming of a BROADWAY Christmas” performances will be at 2 p.m. Nov. 22 and 23. “Mame” will be presented Feb. 6-15.
All ages and types are needed for both productions; roles are available for actors, singers, dancers and comedians. No experience is necessary.
Participants in “I’m Dreaming of a BROADWAY Christmas” must be age 8 by the first rehearsal on Nov. 3. Participants in “Mame” must be age 10 by the first rehearsal on Jan. 5. Rehearsals will be held weekday evenings between 5-9 p.m. and select Saturday mornings for both productions. Actors will not be called for the entire four-hour rehearsal each day but will be given a schedule breakdown upon casting. Actors may be cast in both productions.

Parents of cast members will be required to participate in one of the production committees during the run of the play in which their students are cast.
