Eric Baltrinic, Ph.D., LPCC-S
- Position: Director
Dr. Eric Baltrinic earned his BA in Psychology (1993) and Ph.D in Counseling and Human Development Services (2014) from Kent State University, and his MA.Ed in Community Counseling (1997) from the University of Akron. He is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Supervisor in Ohio. Eric’s service as the Counseling Center Director is informed by 30 years of experience as a practitioner, supervisor, educator, and consultant in community, private practice, K-12, and higher education settings. His leadership style is relational and data-informed with a commitment to transparent communication and practice.
Michelle Roehl, B.A.
- Position: Operations Manager
Michelle Roehl serves as the Operations Manager for the Counseling Center, where she oversees administrative operations, purchasing, budgeting, and strategic planning. With over thirteen years of experience at BGSU, she brings a deep understanding of university systems and a strong commitment to student well-being.
A proud BGSU alumna, Michelle earned her Bachelor's degree in 2017 is passionate about creating a supportive, efficient environment where both students and staff can thrive. Michelle is currently working on her Master's degree.
Kelly Graham
- Position: Secretary
Kelly Graham has served Bowling Green State University with dedication since 2004 and is a valued member of the Counseling Center team. As the front desk secretary, Kelly is often the first point of contact for students, offering friendly, knowledgeable, and compassionate support. Her commitment to excellent customer service helps ensure students feel welcomed and cared for as they seek services. Kelly’s deep institutional knowledge and consistent reliability make her an essential part of the Counseling Center’s daily operations and student-focused mission.
Mariah Schick
- Position: Secretary
Mariah Schick has been a valued member of the BGSU Counseling Center team since 2024. In her role as front desk secretary, she plays an important part in helping students access services and navigate their visits with confidence. Mariah is known for her approachable demeanor, reliability, and strong communication skills, which contribute to a smooth and professional experience for both students and staff. Her thoughtful approach and commitment to her role make her an asset to the Center’s day-to-day operations.
Lily Lehmann, B.A.
- Position: Graduate Assistant in Operations
Lily is a current student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s program at Bowling Green State University. A proud alumna, Lily earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from BGSU in Spring of 2025.
In her role, Lily supports the operations of the center. She assists at the front desk and with behind-the-scenes tasks that contribute to smooth and efficient day-to-day operations. Lily is passionate about problem-solving and brings strong skills in campus and community coordination, student support, and collaboration with various campus entities. Lily is committed to supporting wellness initiatives and helping maintain a professional, student-centered environment.
Sydney Hohlfelder M.A., LPCC
- Position: Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor
Sydney earned her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bowling Green State University in 2022 and is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio. Sydney uses an integrative and evidence-based approach, utilizing interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy through a trauma informed and humanistic lens. She strives to create a non-judgmental environment that respects and honors a variety of backgrounds, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued. As a therapist and BGSU alumni, Sydney is thrilled to be back on campus and is committed to providing a safe space for healing, personal growth, and empowerment.
Stephanie Cramer, MSW
- Position: Case Management Services Coordinator
Stephanie earned her Master of Social Work degree from the Ohio State University in 2003. She has served students since 2017 as part of the BGSU Counseling Center Team. Prior to BGSU, her experience included working with children, families and adults in community mental health, foster care and disability arenas. Stephanie is passionate about advocating for students and helping them through their college journey. She helps students by identifying needs and supports, navigating university procedures and coordinating support services both on and off campus.
Tyler Palmer M.A., LPC
- Position: Licensed Professional Counselor
Tyler earned his undergraduate degree at Ohio Wesleyan University before pursuing a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling & Human Development in 2023 and becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Ohio. In their role at BGSU Tyler is committed to creating a warm, supportive environment where students feel heard, respected, and empowered to address their challenges. A generalist counselor on the team, Tyler draws on a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Person-Centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and trauma-informed care. He works collaboratively to explore student’s personal struggles, develop coping skills, and set meaningful goals for growth and well-being. He is excited to develop relationships with students and provide them with a space where they feel welcome and open to be themselves.

Bridgett Rivera earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Heidelberg University in 2015 and is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with her supervisory designation and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor through the State of Ohio. Bridgett is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Certified Binge Eating and Chronic Dieting Professional, and an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider. Bridgett has experience providing therapy in residential and outpatient substance use and community mental health, private practice, and school-based settings. At the center, Bridgett provides substance use prevention, education, and programming to all BGSU students. In addition to substance use, she provides mental health services utilizing an integrative approach to therapy with emphasis on person-centered and cognitive behavioral treatment. Her areas of specialties include, but are not limited to, co-occurring disorders, trauma, grief/loss, adjustment, life transitions, depression, anxiety, emotional and/or disordered eating, academic challenges, empowerment, advocacy, and support.
Emily Shrider, Psy.D.
- Position: Crisis and Consultation Psychologist
Emily is a licensed psychologist who earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Wright State University’s School of Professional Psychology in 2021. She has experience working with college students as well as folks ranging in age from preschoolers to middle-aged adults. Emily has experience working in settings including university counseling centers, community mental health, and private practice. While she is a generalist, her clinical interests especially include trauma, grief and loss, identity development, family problems, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Emily practices from an integrated humanistic and intersectional framework and regularly incorporates interpersonal, narrative therapy, ACT, and self-compassion interventions into her work. She is committed to forming authentic relationships with her students and providing them with a space to receive validation, acceptance, compassion, and solidarity.
Joy Stocker, M.A., LPCC
- Position: Staff Clinician
Joy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Intervention Specialist from the University of Toledo (2007) and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Toledo (2019). She has experience in both community mental health and private practice, providing support to children, adolescents, young adults, and adults.
EMDR-trained, Joy uses a solution-focused, strengths-based approach to help students identify strengths, build practical skills, and move toward meaningful change. Her clinical interests include trauma, anxiety, ADHD, life transitions, and women’s health. She strives to create a supportive, collaborative space where students feel heard, empowered, and encouraged in their personal, academic, and emotional well-being.
Muhammad Abubakar, M.S.
- Position: Doctoral Intern
Muhammad Abubakaris a doctoral intern with a cognitive behavioral focus. He brings an energetic aura into the therapeutic process and emphasizes building a strong, professional rapport with clients. He views therapy as a goal-oriented and collaborative process, in which the client dictates the pace. Muhammad believes therapy plays a crucial role in building healthy relationships and navigating through tough transitions. Working with young adults, Muhammad supports those who have suffered loss as well as those experiencing anxiety and depression. Muhammad's interests include issues surrounding disabilities, grief work, and trauma.
Ashley Felegi, M.A.
- Position: Doctoral Intern
Ashley is a doctoral trainee in clinical psychology at the University of Indianapolis with a master’s degree in clinical psychology. She takes an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and interpersonal techniques to support clients in navigating a wide range of challenges. Ashley is especially passionate about working with concerns related to body image, disordered eating, and relationship and family stress. She practices from a trauma-informed lens and is committed to creating a therapeutic space grounded in safety, acceptance, and genuine connection, where clients can feel empowered to explore, heal, and grow. Prior to joining the BGSU Counseling Center, Ashley gained clinical experience in college counseling, community mental health, and at a hospital specializing in the treatment of eating disorders.
David Humphries, M.A., M.S.
- Position: Doctoral Intern
Dave is a doctoral intern from the Michigan School of Psychology. He brings over a decade of therapeutic experience to his work. He provides a welcoming, accepting, confidential, safe therapeutic space to understand and address life struggles and challenges. Together, with an empathetic, respectful, and listening ear, he looks forward to exploring “what it’s like to be you” on your path toward healing and growth.
Rebekah Monroe, M.A.
- Position: Clinical Graduate Assistant
Rebekah is a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the Clinical Psychology program at BGSU. Rebekah earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Northeastern Illinois University in 2021 in Chicago and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from BGSU in 2026. Trained as a generalist, Rebekah has experience supporting clients through family problems, identity development, anxiety, depression, and trauma. Rebekah’s primary clinical and research interests center on trauma, anxiety, depression, dissociation, embodiment, and adverse interpersonal experiences within institutional settings such as religious and academic spaces. Rebekah practices from an integrated humanistic and intersectional framework and regularly incorporates interpersonal, narrative therapy, ACT, and other evidence-based interventions into sessions. Rebekah is dedicated to building authentic relationships with clients and providing them with a space to receive validation, acceptance, compassion, and empowerment.
Aviva Satz-Kojis, M.S.
- Position: Clinical Graduate Assistant
Aviva is a third-year Ph.D. student in the Clinical Psychology program at BGSU. She earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Michigan. Aviva enjoys working with clients to help them navigate life’s issues and to help them relate to their experiences in an adaptive way. In her work, she uses a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to the client’s needs, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Aviva has a particular interest in working with issues concerning romantic relationships, anxiety, and chronic illness.
