In Photos: BGSU hosts in-person Commencement ceremonies
Class of 2020, 2021 crossed the Commencement stage at the Doyt
Bowling Green State University held its first in-person commencement ceremonies in more than a year over the weekend, with six ceremonies over the course of three days. The University recognized graduates from multiple classes, from spring 2021 to alumni from the class of 2020.
BGSU photographers Craig Bell and Isaiah Vazquez captured the return of the celebrated and storied tradition, in photos. Here are some of the weekend's favorite moments.
The sun sets at Doyt L. Perry Stadium during Friday night's commencement ceremony. It was the first time BGSU hosted commencement at the stadium in 25 years. The outdoor setting helped University leaders ensure health and safety guidelines, including physical distancing, that could be observed for graduates, alumni and loved ones in attendance.

graduate awaits crossing the stage. Among the graduates being recognized, 2,132 earned honors based upon high grade point averages. In addition to caps and gowns, graduates wore face coverings during the ceremony.
