Arts Discovery Day 2018 took place on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM.

Every Fall, the School of Art offers an immersive day for high school juniors and seniors to explore the Arts at BGSU. For more information, please visit the Arts Discovery Day registration page.


Prospective students may visit the School of Art on University Preview Days to receive more information about BGSU as a whole, as well as to attend information sessions in the School of Art, and to take a tour of the facilities.

Preview Days 2018 - 2019 Dates

  • Fall Preview Day: Saturday, October 27, 2018
  • Winter Preview Day: Saturday, December 1, 2018
  • Activities located at the Fine Arts Center
    • School of Art Presentation - 12:00 - 12:30 p.m. - Room 1101
    • Graphic Design Presentation - 12:30 - 1:00 p.m. - Room 1101
    • Digital Arts Presentation - 1:00 - 1:30 p.m. - Room 1101
    • Studio (Ceramics, Drawing/Painting, Glass, Jewelry/Metals, Photography, Printmaking & Sculpture) Presentation -     12:30 - 1:00 p.m.  - Room 1024
    • Art Education Presentation - 1:00 - 1:30 p.m. - Room 1024
    • Tours of the School of Art every 30 min. leaving from the foyer.

Every Fall, the School of Art attends several National Portfolio Days. BGSU School of Art representatives will attend the following NPD events in Fall 2018:

  • Columbus, OH: Sunday, October 7, 2018

Sit-in on classes and meet faculty in the areas you are thinking of majoring in. Take a tour of the School of Art facilities, including the Fine Arts Center and the Wolfe Center for the Arts. Tours leave from the Fine Arts Center lobby every 30 minutes, beginning at 9 am (until 2 pm). Visit our information table in the Fine Arts Center lobby for information about our programs.
