The ACM SIGGRAPH community is a global nonprofit organization serving the evolution of computer graphics and interactive techniques. With thousands of members across the world, the researchers, artists, developers, filmmakers, scientists, and business professionals of ACM SIGGRAPH are building the future of digital art and interactive design.

Graphic Design

AIGA Toledo is the Toledo chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA). The mission of AIGA Toledo is to bring together an inclusive community, create change, empower one another and elevate design within the city of Toledo. The group defines global standards and ethical practices, guides design education, enhances professional development, and makes powerful tools and resources accessible to all.

Art History

African Studies Association (ASA)is the flagship membership organization devoted to enhancing the exchange of information about Africa.

American Research Center in Egypt (ARCE) is composed of educational and cultural institutions, professional scholars, and private individuals. ARCE’s partnership with Egyptians contributes to the shared goal of cultural heritage preservation.

Arts Council of the African Studies Association (ACASA) is an association whose mission is to promote a greater understanding of the culture and art of Africa and the African Diaspora. They bring together scholars, artists, and enthusiasts worldwide to learn, connect, and collaborate. 

Byzantine Studies Association of North America (BSANA) is a venue for the presentation and discussion of papers embodying current research on all aspects of Byzantine history and culture. 

Caribbean Studies Association (CSA) is an independent professional organization devoted to the promotion of Caribbean studies from a multidisciplinary, multicultural point of view.

International City/County Management Association (ICMA) is the leading organization of local government professionals dedicated to creating and sustaining thriving communities throughout the world. 

International Council of Museums (ICOM) establishes professional and ethical standards for museum activities.

Midwest Art History Society (MAHS) is a community of academic, museum-based, and independent art historians in the common goal of scholarly inquiry and the exchange of ideas.  

Midwest Society for Photographic Education (MWSPE) is the Midwest chapter of the leading forum for fostering understanding of photography in all its forms and related media.

Renaissance Society of America (RSA) is the largest international organization devoted to the critical study of the world from 1300–1700 and its importance today.

Sixteenth Century Society (SCS) is a multidisciplinary organization dedicated to the study of the early modern era (c.1450-1750).

Society for Photographic Education (SPE) is the leading forum for fostering understanding of photography in all its forms and related media. 

Society for the Study of Egyptian Antiquities (SSEA) is a society to stimulate interest in Egyptology, to assist those interested, professional and non-professional alike, with research and training in the field, and to sponsor and promote archaeological expeditions to Egypt. 

Art Education

The Ohio Art Education Association (OAEA) is the leading professional membership organization exclusively for visual arts educators in Ohio. Members include elementary, middle, and high school visual arts educators; college and university professors; researchers and scholars; teaching artists; administrators and supervisors; and art museum educators.

The National Art Education Association (NAEA) is the professional home for thousands of visual arts, design, and media arts educators. They offer opportunities to connect, learn, and be inspired while championing the field of visual arts education.

Jewelry and Metals

Michigan Silversmiths Guild sponsors lectures and workshops by artists and teachers established in their fields. These activities are held in close proximity and within the studios of established metal programs in Southeast Michigan and Northwest Ohio. The guild also sponsors juried exhibitions of work produced by members.

Studio Arts

Ohio Designer Craftsmen engages and enriches the community through high-quality exhibitions, education programs, and supports/promotes the professional development of fine craft artists.

Sculpture

Contemporary Art Toledo (CAT) is dedicated to the production, presentation, and promotion of ideas from visual artist from around the Great Lakes region and beyond. CAT is working to create and sustain meaningful connections between innovative artists and diverse communities that emphasize and explore the historical, cultural, and social importance of the art of our time.

International Sculpture Center (ISC) is a member-supported, nonprofit organization founded in 1960 to champion the creation and understanding of sculpture and its unique, vital contribution to society. ISC offers members access to internships, competitions, conferences and symposia, employment opportunities, memberships, public art projects, residencies, scholarships, grants, fellowships, studio rentals and workshops.

The Sculpture Center is a cultural space for sculptors where creative ideas, experiences and the community connect and flourish through its five tenets - Exhibition, Creation, Mentorship, Conversation + Engagement, and Development + Support.

Photography

Midwest Society for Photographic Education is the regional chapter of SPE, the leading forum for fostering understanding of photography in all its forms and related media. SPE engages its worldwide membership and affiliated communities through a range of supportive platforms including conferences, events, and publications.

Photo Arts Club of Toledo is an associate organization of the Toledo Botanical Gardens that strives to assist members and the public with improving their photography skills by providing educational opportunities. The club offers monthly digital or print competitions, presentations by guest speakers, workshops, mentoring programs, a public annual photography contest, photography improvement seminars, club outings, volunteer opportunities, and social events.

Printmaking

Mid-American Print Council (MAPC) is a member-driven organization dedicated to the support, promotion, development, and research of printmaking arts. For over thirty years these goals have been accomplished through conferences, publications, exhibitions, and professional development. 

Southern Graphics Council International fosters study, research, enjoyment, and the advancement of printmaking, drawing, and graphic arts. The group shares professional information among artists and related individuals, organizes and circulates exhibitions of prints and drawings in educational and arts-focused institutions, and recognizes outstanding contributions to these arts through awards.
