Request an Appearance: Freddie & Frieda Falcon
Freddie and Frieda are proud ambassadors of Bowling Green State University, representing the spirit and pride of the Falcon community. You can invite them to energize your event by submitting a request at least two weeks in advance.
Appearance Guidelines:
- Events longer than 30 minutes must be accommedated with a scheduled break and advance approval.
- A private, secure space for changing and breaks must be provided.
- Requests are fulfilled based on mascot availability and university priorities.
Appearance Fees (Off-Campus and Non-University Events)
- Private Events (e.g. weddings, corporate functions): $350 per mascot, per 30-minute appearance + mileage
- Non-Profit Community Events: $100 per mascot, per 30-minute appearance + mileage
BGSU reserves the right to decline requests due to scheduling limitations, safety concerns, or university policy restrictions.

What is a breakroom?
Freddie & Frieda will need to take a break depending on the duration of the event. A private breakroom to where we will not be seen/heard is needed. If windows, there will need to be blinds. It is also preferred that the door locks. We also love Air-Conditioned rooms, but that is not a requirement.
Do Freddie & Frieda have different outfits?
Yes! Depending on the type of event you are having, we may have an outfit to match. We have formal wear for weddings and as always, a few different types of BGSU spirit wear. If you are putting on an event and have a specific t-shirt you would like us to wear, we would be happy to! Our shirt size is 2XL.
How early out should I book my event?
We prefer request arrive at least 2 weeks prior to the event. As you can imagine our schedules are a little busy, so we need some time to work things out to make all our events happen. Please also remember that the mascot switch happens in the spring, so we will have to wait for the next set of birds to arrive before confirming some events.
What are the names of the students who will be the mascots at my event?
Freddie and Frieda's identities remain a secret until our reveal in the spring. This means, we are sworn not to share anything about our lives outside of the mascot suit. We take secrecy very seriously, so you can refer to us simply as Freddie and Frieda!
