  • Center for Family and Demographic Research
    The Center for Family and Demographic Research (CFDR) is dedicated to training, research and service in demography. The CFDR integrates demographic methods, data, and perspectives with other social scientific approaches to understand the well-being of children and families.
  • Center for Neuroscience, Mind & Behavior
    The Center for Neuroscience, Mind & Behavior at Bowling Green State University is a group of faculty, post-doctoral associates, graduate, and undergraduate students actively studying the dynamic relationships between the nervous system, the mind, and behavior. The Center focuses explicitly on integrating behavioral and cognitive research with the various sub-disciplines of neuroscience. Our primary goal is to offer a mechanistic understanding of integrated systems of behavior at levels of analysis that bridge individual molecules, cells, and circuits with mental processes and cognition.
  • Center for Photochemical Sciences
    The Center for Photochemical Sciences, established in 1985, evolved from research activities of faculty in the Chemistry Department to make more effective use of focused resources in the photochemical sciences by assembling teams of scientists collaborating in an interactive, interdisciplinary research setting.
  • Center for Popular Culture Studies
    The Center for Popular Culture Studies is focused on the interdisciplinary study of Popular Culture in all its many roles, meanings, and manifestations and combining approaches of the humanities and social sciences.
  • Psychology Services Center
    The Psychology Services Center offers a variety of psychological services that are offered to individuals, couples, and families. Commonly seen issues include stress, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, family and parenting concerns, substance abuse, and grief. Consultation to health-care professionals and agencies is available. Clients of any age throughout Northwest Ohio are eligible for services. Services are confidential.
  • Lake Erie and Watershed Studies
    Teams of BGSU faculty and students are immersed in the complex problems facing Lake Erie and in so doing have created a living laboratory for scientific inquiry and investigation. In the process, they not only are making discoveries with potential global implications, but also are infusing classroom and laboratory lessons with the kind of energy that only exists when passion, resources and knowledge intersect.
  • Center of Science and Mathematics Education: Opportunities for Success
    COSMOS is a collaboration of Bowling Green State University, Owens Community College, numerous school districts and educational service centers, and businesses to improve mathematics and science education in Northwest Ohio. COSMOS is funded by the Ohio Board of Regents and the Ohio Resource Center.
  • Institute for Psychological Research and Application
    IPRA is a broad-based interdisciplinary research institute that offers a wide range of professional services to organizations in both the private and public sectors. The Institute has assisted clients in such areas as personnel selection and evaluation, recruitment and retention/turnover, staff training and development, program evaluation, employee health, workplace stress assessment, organizational development, benchmarking, employee attitude surveys, organizational analysis, and EEO/Affirmative Action.

    Institute for the Study of Culture and Society (ICS) is dedicated to understanding cultural history, to reshaping studies in the humanities and the arts in the context of contemporary thought, and to promoting work across disciplines.
  • National Center for Family & Marriage Research
    The National Center for Family & Marriage Research (NCFMR) provides scientific leadership, intellectual energy, and administrative assistance to support inter-disciplinary, policy-relevant research on American families.
