Verifying Academic Records
Enrollment and degree verifications
BGSU has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to act as our agent to provide enrollment and degree verifications. The National Student Clearinghouse can be contacted at:
National Student Clearinghouse
Note: Enrollment certification for future terms
Bowling Green State University considers registration for future semesters unofficial until the opening of classes. Therefore, we do not report enrollments to the National Student Clearinghouse until the first day of semester classes (fall and spring). Summer enrollments are reported to the Clearinghouse at the end of the final summer term. If you need a verification of class registration prior to the opening of classes for a given term, you must request a letter of registration verification (see below). Self-service enrollment verification certificates will be available via MyBGSU and the National Student Clearinghouse by approximately the third or fourth day of each fall/spring term. Letters of enrollment verification may be requested after the first day of classes each semester.
Obtain a self-service enrollment verification certificate
If you need to verify your enrollment at BGSU, self-service enrollment certificates may be obtained by logging in to MyBGSU, by clicking on the "Enrollment Verification" link in the left navigation area, and by proceeding to the web site of the National Student Clearinghouse. Your BGSU enrollment information has been provided to the Clearinghouse, and you can view or print that information at any time, via secure log-in. Enrollment certificates printed from the Clearinghouse web site can be used as official verification of enrollment for insurance companies, scholarships, and other agencies.
