  • BGSU to hold commencement Friday, Saturday Dec 8, 2017 2:26 PM BGSU will celebrate its 290th graduation in two ceremonies in the Stroh Center Friday (Dec. 15) and Saturday (Dec. 16). The December graduating class includes 954 candidates. Among the undergraduates, 56 will be presented associate degrees and 682 bachelor’s degrees. Of those, 142 have received honors for their high grade point averages.

  • BGSU Sales Competition Winners Announced Nov 16, 2017 1:32 PM With the prestige of participating in the National Collegiate Sales Competition (NCSC) and the prospect of directly connecting with employers, more than 50 students competed for top honors of this year’s BGSU Sales Competition. With stiff competition, the field was narrowed to 13 finalists after round 1, then the top 8 in round 2. Thirty-nine representatives from sponsoring companies then reviewed the eight videos and chose the top three winners which were announced at the Sales Award Banquet on November 8.

  • Valerie Newell '75 recognized by Barron's as best financial advisor in state Nov 5, 2017 7:12 PM Valerie Newell ’75 was named top advisor in Ohio and No. 4 in the Top 100 Women's Advisors by Barron’s for the second consecutive year. The chairman and managing director of Riverpoint Capital Management also was ranked by Barron's as the No. 14 independent investment advisor in the nation.

  • Outstanding seniors recognized Sep 29, 2017 11:32 AM In April, the Department of Finance recognized three outstanding seniors: Joseph P. Sullivan, Tomas Sholl and Claire Nelson, selected through votes by the department’s faculty members. Sullivan and Sholl shared the Finance Graduating Senior Award, while Nelson earned the Insurance Graduating Senior Award. These awards are given to top finance and insurance graduating seniors based on academic performance and involvement in extracurricular activities.
