Applied Statistics and Operations Research
The BGSU College of Business is one of the few AACSB accredited institutions in Ohio to offer an undergraduate and a graduate specialization in business analytics and intelligence - a key, competitive advantage many corporations are adopting.
Due to this fast emerging field, corporate investment in this area is expected to grow as well as job prospects. In an increasingly data-driven world, businesses need to make sense of the data they are collecting to make sound decisions. Hiring business analysts provides employers with an excellent return on investment.
Business analysts work for companies in areas such as marketing and sales, human resources, and customer relations management or as consultants. They not only interpret “big data,” but communicate the meaning of their findings.
The Center for Business Analytics helps companies with methodologies, innovations, solutions, and practical implementations to produce tangible results through analytics. Enroll in one of the few business analytics programs in the state by getting your business degree at BGSU!
We offer a specialization in Business Analytics and Intelligence and a minor in Applied Statistics. At the graduate level, we offer a Master of Science in Applied Statistics and a Master of Science in Applied Statistics with a Specialization in Business Analytics.
