Dean's Message

Greetings from the College of Business Administration at Bowling Green State University where we are committed to Going Beyond Business As Usual! Our students, alumni, faculty and programs are recognized throughout the world.

Bloomberg Businessweek recently ranked the college number 31 among public institutions and among the top 5 percent of all undergraduate business programs in the country.

The College has maintained its business accreditation in both business and accounting placing the College among a very exclusive group. Less than two percent of business schools worldwide earn this distinction.

Our curriculum incorporates innovation and experiential learning. The Hatch, a unique entrepreneurial program similar in format to the television show Shark Tank, was touted as a best in class practice and is gaining an international reputation.

Eighty-eight percent of our students have jobs or are interviewing when they graduate with an average annual salary of $56,315. Our Business Career Accelerator is designed to provide career planning, improve job search skills, and help students find both an internship and job. Housed within the College, the Career Accelerator has connections with more than 1,000 companies.

Our alumni have successful careers with Fortune 500 companies, have launched their own businesses and are leading companies worldwide. Many alumni return to campus to speak to students, mentor students, teach courses, serve on boards and recruit students.

Our award-winning faculty are recognized as experts in their fields. Students graduate with real-world knowledge of the global marketplace through interactive learning programs making them highly marketable to recruiters throughout the country.

In addition to high academic standards, we help students grow professionally and personally through programs geared toward developing professional business skills such as networking, dressing for success, dining etiquette, golf and business travel.

Students can join an organization, attend numerous College events and study abroad. Our student organizations place in the top at both national and international competitions.

Many opportunities await students who come to BGSU to obtain their business degree. I know. I am a 1980 graduate of BGSU’s business program.  I went on to lead several major corporations and returned to my alma mater as dean to ensure the tradition of excellence continues for future business students.
