BGSU participates in 13th annual population conference with OSU
BGSU and OSU graduate students
The 13th annual BGSU/OSU Graduate Student Conference on population, co-sponsored by the Institute for Population Research at The Ohio State University and the Center for Family and Demographic Research at Bowling Green State University, was held November 1, 2019, on the OSU campus. More than 20 BGSU students, faculty, and staff participated in the event. BGSU will host the 14th annual conference online October 30, 2020.

2018 graduate received Distinguished Dissertation Award

Congratulations to Marshal Fettro who received the 2020 Graduate College Distinguished Dissertation Award for his dissertation, Men’s and Women’s Time Use: Comparing Same-Sex and Different-Sex Couples. His dissertation will be submitted to the Council of Graduate Schools (CGS) Distinguished Dissertation Award competition as the nominee for Bowling Green State University in the Social Sciences category. His advisor was Professor Kei Nomaguchi. Way to go, Marshal!

This award was established to recognize the excellence of scholarship and academic training provided by the Demography faculty of the Department of Sociology at Bowling Green State University.

BGSU alumna received "10 Under 10" award

BGSU alumna Dr. Andrea Krieg ('12 and '15) received the "10 Under 10" award, which was created to honor the accomplishments of recent alumni. Andrea is currently an assistant professor of criminal justice at Elmhurst College in Illinois and a member of the BGSU Recent Alumni Council.
