The Spectrum

The Spectrum is the quarterly scientific journal of the Center for Photochemical Sciences mailed to over 10,000 persons worldwide.  Distributed at no charge, the journal was designed as an outreach program to provide scientists an opportunity to communicate the latest results in the photochemical sciences in an informal format.

The Spectrum fills a niche in the scientific community between refereed journals and more newsy, popular magazines. It is consistently cited in refereed journals, and used in university classes all over the world. Scientists in third-world countries, who cannot afford to subscribe to refereed journals, often depend on The Spectrum as their primary source of current scientific information. Industrial sponsors of The Spectrum generously support publication and mailing expenses.
