No one (not even a parent, teacher, coach, or friend) may discuss the article or prompts with you or provide any assistance with the writing, editing, or proofreading of this test. There is no advantage to being placed into a writing class that is beyond your current abilities. Our goal is to place you into the composition course that is most appropriate to your writing skill and which will benefit you the most during your first year of college. Therefore, it is absolutely imperative that you do not receive help of any kind while writing this essay. Please refer to "An Important Statement on Academic Honesty" in the Writing Placement Information section of this site for more information.

In order to access and write the Online Placement, you must:

• Be an undergraduate student entering BGSU
• Have a BGSU ID Number
• Have a BGSU email account
