Tutoring Assistance For Student Veterans

BGSU is dedicated to the success of Student Veterans.  If you are struggling academically, we can help!

The BGSU Learning Commons, located in the Jerome Library, provides various tutoring services to students free of charge.  These services include drop-in tutoring sessions, personalized tutoring upon request, group study sessions, study skills classes and more.  Please visit the Learning Commons webpage for more information and hours.

If the BGSU Learning Commons does not offer the tutoring services you need, you may be eligible for tutorial assistance through the VA. The VA tutorial assistance program provides reimbursement to eligible VA Benefit recipients of up to 1,200 dollars per academic year.  Students must utilize school approved tutors, submit forms to the VA, and wait for reimbursement.

If you are not a current BGSU student or are not a BGSU Main Campus student, you can find more information on the VA Tutorial Assistance Program here:

If you have questions about these programs, please contact your VA Certifying Official at the Office of Registration & Records by called 419-372-8441 or sending them an email at vabenefits@bgsu.edu.
