First year Master’s composer Chace Williams has premiere in Xi’an, China May 10, 2019 5:37 PM Congratulations to First year Master’s composer Chace Williams on his upcoming premiere in Xi’an, China. He will be at Xi’an Liangjiatan International School from May 20th to May 24th as a composer in residence. The XLIS Intermediate Band will be premiering his piece for young band entitled ‘The Battle Approaches’. The pieces is dedicated to the Xi’an Liangjiatan International School (XLIS), the XLIS Bands, and their director, Michael Skillern.

Sijia Lin receives award in the Graves Piano Competition Mar 4, 2019 12:13 PM Second year piano master's student Sijia Lin recently won second place in the Young Artists Division of the OhioMTA/Graves Solo Piano Competition, held Sunday, March 3 in Columbus, Ohio. Sijia is from Chengdu, China and studies with Professor Robert Satterlee. In addition to receiving a cash prize, Sijia will play on a winner's concert in Columbus in March.

Solungga Liu, Featured Artist and Faculty at the Sicily International Piano Festival and Competition Feb 12, 2019 2:37 PM Associate Professor Solungga Liu, Coordinator of the Piano Area, was one of featured guest artists at the 2019 Sicily International Piano Festival and Competition from January 18-27 in Catania, Sicily, Italy. Together with faculty from France, Great Britain, USA, Thailand and Italy, Liu taught and performed at the weeklong festival and participated in judging the Junior-Division Piano Competition.
