Junior Audition Day

Junior Audition Day

We know that visiting campus is one of the best ways to decide whether a college is the right fit for you. However, to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we are not currently hosting on-campus events, auditions or appointments.

We're pleased to roll out virtual opportunities to connect with BGSU during a time when on-campus visits are not possible.

While we have deemed it necessary to cancel Junior Audition Day, we know this is an important time and want to help you through your college search.
Instead, join us for the Virtual Junior Audition Day Experience on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at 11:00 am. This will be an online webinar and will feature a 30 minute presentation. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about the majors and minors offered at BGSU, life as a student in the BGSU College of Musical Arts, careers in music and more.
During the presentation, ask questions using the in-app chat feature. We've invited reps from the College of Musical Arts and Office of Admissions to join us.

Students attending the Virtual Junior Audition Day must submit a recorded audition in lieu of an in-person performance. Recorded auditions will be considered for both entrance and scholarships. Students may submit their audition recordings through our Acceptd page, emailed to MusicAdmissions@bgsu.edu or mailed to: Coordinator of Music Admissions, College of Musical Arts, Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio 43403-0290.

The recorded audition should consist of selections as described under Undergraduate Audition Requirements, and should be recorded in stereo utilizing the highest quality equipment available. Students who submit a recorded audition will complete the required written music theory test at summer orientation and registration.
More details about the date, time and registration for this virtual event will be available soon.

“Get to know the professors you could be spending your next four or five years with! Around my junior year of high school, I attended a camp offered here at the College of Musical Arts. During my week, I was given opportunities to work and perform with several members of the faculty, staff and already existing students. It was this experience that was my deciding factor in choosing a college. The faculty was amazing and the whole atmosphere was welcoming. The Junior Audition Day in which I also participated only confirmed things more for me.”
