Assistant Professor of Viola, Department of Music Performance Studies, College of Musical Arts, Bowling Green State University. Tenure-track faculty position available August 2023.

Applicants must have a doctorate or master’s degree with two years of professional performing and/or teaching experience. Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate and graduate applied viola, coaching chamber music, leading orchestral viola sectionals, contributing to the string pedagogy course, undergraduate and graduate recruiting, advising, contributing to the artistic and intellectual life of the College and University, and maintaining a current profile as a viola performer and pedagogue in state, regional and national activities. Other duties will be assigned by the Chair or Dean depending upon the needs of the Department of Music Performance Studies and the College of Musical Arts.

Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate and graduate applied voice and voice-related courses to be assigned based on the successful candidate’s expertise and background. Other responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate recruiting, advising, contributing to the artistic and intellectual environment of the College and University, and maintaining a current profile as a vocal performer and pedagogue in state, regional and national activities.
