Globetrotting Horn Professor

Andrew Pelletier, Professor of Horn, will be in Ghent, Belgium, July 1-6, 2019, to perform at the 51st International Horn Society Symposium at the Royal Conservatoire, School of Arts, Ghent. He will be performing in five different performances, including three world premieres: "Caccia, for Two Horns" by BGSU faculty member Christopher Dietz, "Dreams of the Wombat, for solo horn" by Katherine Likhuta, and the "Sonata #2, for Horn and Piano" of Samuel Adler.

Dr. Pelletier will be returning to Brazil, July 15-20, 2019, to appear as a featured artist at the 2019 Brazil Horn Society/Latin American Horn Festival, in Rio de Janeiro. He will be featured in recital and masterclasses, as well as a final concert of the "Konzertstuck, for Four Horns and Orchestra" of Robert Schumann. This is Professor Pelletier's second trip to Brazil, the last being for the 49th International Horn Society Symposium, in Natal, in 2017.

And to round out the summer, Professor Pelletier will be the only American featured artist at the 6th Beijing International Horn Festival, July 29-August 2, 2019, at the Central Conservatory of Music. He will be presenting masterclasses and two recitals through the Festival, which will be Dr. Pelletier's first trip to China.
