Patricia Chambers, J.D.
Patricia Chambers is an Assistant Teaching Professor of business communication. Prior to beginning her academic career, she worked in marketing and business development for public television and several international and regional law firms across the country. Prof. Chambers brings her management experience into the classroom to fully prepare students for their first day on the job or internship. Students will learn to write, collaborate, and present with confidence. She is dedicated to inspiring future managers to lead their teams with diplomacy and care.
Her pedagogical training through the California Acceleration Project with Long Beach City College and Pasadena City College has empowered her to create engaging courses where students are encouraged to find their voice in a supportive environment.
Prior to joining BGSU, she was a professor of business communication and marketing at Marymount California University where she taught both undergraduate and MBA students. Prof. Chambers has a specialty in scientific business communication and academic writing from her work in the graduate Engineering Writing Program at USC and the Master of Quantitative Economics program at UCLA.
Prof. Chambers’ experience includes grant writing, proofreading, copy editing, strategic marketing, and public relations. She has a Juris Doctor from CWRU and a Master of Professional Writing, a multi-genre creative writing degree from USC. She enjoys fiction, humor, and travel writing.
