Special Event Services
Bowling Green State University prioritizes the safety and success of campus events by providing police support for security, crowd and traffic control. Event planning involves coordination with multiple departments, addressing potential risks, securing proper approvals and reserving appropriate venues. Resources and tips are provided below to assist in the process.
Special event plans may require the presence of uniformed BGSU police officers hired by the sponsoring group. The Chief of Police or their designee will determine the required number of officers present. To request officers for your event please fill out the form below.
Please note: Notification of an event and request for officers for special events must be made no less than 3 weeks prior to the event date. Late notice could result in your event being postponed or canceled.
