Student Support Services offers two math courses: MATH 99S and MATH 1220S.
SSS math courses offer face-to-face instruction and additional built-in tutorial time to develop a stronger foundations for success in math.
Our writing specialist works with TRIO SSS students enrolled in not only the University Writing Program courses but also any class that requires writing. Students are able to meet with SSS writing tutors or the specialist to get help with writing assignments at any stage of the writing process. Students are also able to get assistance and feedback regarding letters and essays for applications for jobs, scholarships, internships, graduate school and other educational opportunities.
Reading and Study Skills
Student Support Services offers ACEN 1000, College Reading/Learning Skills, each fall semester. This course teaches students basic vocabulary, reading skills, and learning habits needed for academic success, working on areas such as comprehension, note taking, time management, test taking, and critical thinking.
Student Success Seminar
Student Support Services exclusively offers UNIV 1100, Student Success Seminar, for continuing students that wish to further develop their study skills and habits that lead to academic and life success.
