  • BGSU names new Chief Communications Officer Aug 31, 2011 3:26 PM Robin Gerrow, assistant vice president in the Office of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin, will be Bowling Green State University’s next Chief Communications Officer, President Mary Ellen Mazey has announced. Gerrow will join Marketing and Communications Sept. 30.

Susan Brown and Wendy Manning, co-directors of the National Center for Family and Marriage Research (NCFMR) at Bowling Green State University. Capping off a busy season of research and conference-hosting, the two were presented the inaugural Article of the Year Award from the American Sociological Association’s Section on Sociology of the Family for the best journal article published in the past three years.

  • President Mazey to preside over first commencement Aug 1, 2011 3:44 PM Bowling Green State University will hold its 271st graduation ceremonies at 9 a.m. this Saturday (Aug. 6) on the lawn in front of University Hall, with new President Mary Ellen Mazey presiding. The total number of diplomas being awarded is 1,135, including 537 degrees granted through the Graduate College. Seventy-two undergraduates will receive their degrees with honors signifying meritorious academic achievement.
