Dr. Hennessy has been with the Office of Campus Sustainability since it began in August, 2008. He is originally from Yellow Springs, Ohio but has resided in Bowling Green for many years. He obtained his B.S. from Muskingum University; his J.D. from The Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University, and his Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Bowling Green State University. As the current Sustainability Manager here at BGSU he manages and coordinates all university sustainability efforts, programs, activities, and initiatives to achieve the goals of reduction of emissions, reduction of waste, and education/outreach. Dr. Hennessy enjoys working with students in developing an understanding and enthusiasm for the value of sustainability and how it connects to their day to day activities.
Brett Lippian began working with the Office of Campus Sustainability in September, 2014. He is from Peninsula, Ohio. He obtained his B.A. in both Political Science and Economics from Bowling Green State University, and is now pursuing his Masters in Public Administration. As the Green Game Day Coordinator and Graduate Sustainability Assistant, Brett acts as a point of contact and on site facilitator of volunteer activities for football games. He also works at various sporting events such as swim meets and hockey games recovering recyclable materials. The most rewarding part of the position for Brett is knowing that every effort, even small, makes an impact not only on the BG community but also the world.
Christina Deehr started working for the Office of Campus Sustainability in August of 2017. Originally from Sandusky, Ohio, she moved to Bowling Green to pursue her B.A. in Environmental Policy and Analysis with a specialization in Sustainable Management. Previously, Christina worked for The Ohio State University’s F.T. Stone Laboratory as a Biological Field Station Assistant and Hospitality Coordinator. As an Undergraduate Sustainability Assistant Christina markets BGSU’s sustainability platform and implements or improves green practices on campus. She enjoys educating and collaborating with others in hopes to increase environmental stewardship.
Interview Request Policy
We're excited to discuss BGSU's sustainability initiatives with you! Whether its for class research, a story in the media, assistance with a project, or anything else, we ask that you please follow our simple policy to allow us to best assist you:
- To allow us to be well-prepared for the interview, we are unable to accommodate walk-in/ same-day interview requests.
- Please request your interview availabilities at least 5 business days before you're anticipating a meeting
- We encourage you to explore our website before your interview
- We are unable to conduct phone/email interviews
- Due to limited staff availability, missed appointments can only be re-scheduled once.
