The past year challenged us, but we embraced our role as a 21st-century public university for the public good and launched FORWARD., a guiding strategy defined by action. We've identified 21 moments during 2020-21 that moved us forward and will continue to make us better. Each of these moments, or actions, are positioning Bowling Green State University and our students for success.

Moment No. 9 – we can leverage technology. Throughout the global pandemic, BGSU embraced and enhanced technology to engage our learning community in new and innovative ways. Through technology, the University was able to bring experts from around the world to its campuses and bring its classrooms to the world.

The University is updating nearly 3,000 wireless access points (WAPs) across its campuses to replace its entire wireless network.

For the first time in its 10-year history, Media Career Week at BGSU moved to a virtual environment because of the global pandemic, resulting in an broadened opportunity to virtually bring alumni and industry leaders to campus from some of the biggest media hubs including Los Angeles and New York.
