The past year challenged us, but we embraced our role as a 21st-century public university for the public good and launched FORWARD., a guiding strategy defined by action. We've identified 21 moments during 2020-21 that moved us forward and will continue to make us better. Each of these moments, or actions, are positioning Bowling Green State University and our students for success.

Moment No. 20 – we can look ahead. COVID-19 was a watershed moment for higher education. It showed how we are interconnected and that technology is a tool and not an obstacle. The 2020-21 academic year was unlike any other, and BGSU recognized the need to refine its strategic plan. In April 2021, the University launched Forward., - our shared strategic plan to create public good.

Building upon momentum, BGSU launched the Forward. strategic plan to serve as the University's guiding strategy. The strategic plan is more targeted and intentional, with four strategic and foundational objectives, each with four initiatives.
