Experiential Learning Opportunities
The Radbill Center offers a number of opportunities that are available to any BGSU student interested in continuing their Life Design journey and becoming part of a community of design thinkers. Learn more about these opportunities through your Life Design coach, or by reaching out to the Radbill Center at 419-372-5533 or lifedesign@bgsu.edu.
The Life Design Collaborative
The Life Design Collaborative hosts monthly events designed to foster creativity and conversation. Students are invited to engage with new perspectives and learn collaboratively from their peers. These events include our "Curious Table” events, designed to expand students’ networks and learn from alumni stories. We also offer fun, student-focused activities such as trivia nights that cultivate a positive community atmosphere.
The Design Thinking Creative Learning Community
The Design Thinking Creative Learning Community was launched in August 2025. This learning community is open to BGSU students in their second year and above. The experience includes a 1 credit course based around creativity, storytelling, and design thinking. In this learning community, students will:
Craft real stories inspired by real people, using tools like podcasting, video, photography, and design
Work with mentors and collaborate with teammates who will challenge and champion them
Take creative risks and grow in the process
Engage in monthly events to foster a community of support and togetherness.
Rad Nerds
Rad Nerds creates an environment that brings Life Design and pop culture together. This is a space for students to share their perspectives on many topics like current movies, games, or shows, and for others to join in by being curious and engaging. Each week, one student takes the lead, guiding the group through their chosen topic and sparking conversation, connection, and creativity.
Life Design Student Ambassadors
Life Design Student Ambassadors are curious, reflective and engaging student leaders who represent the Radbill Center for College & Life Design across campus. Ambassadors help BGSU students build community with one another and make connections across campus as they apply Life Design ideas and tools that support their success. Ambassadors share their own story of transition to and development at BGSU and how they apply Life Design concepts and resources as well as facilitating connections within and outside of the BGSU 1910 classroom.
