Inductees John Smith, Dr. Ron Zwierlein, Kory Lichtensteiger, Kate Achter and Liz Honegger increased membership of the Athletics Hall of Fame to 240 individuals.

  • A duty to help Sep 24, 2018 11:06 AM The Office of Nontraditional and Military Student Services recently received a $1 million gift from William Downing Sr. ’57 and his late wife, Joan ’57, to provide scholarships for student-veterans at BGSU. To honor them, the veterans center in the College Park Office Building was recently renamed in their honor.

  • BGSU receives nearly $1 million NSF grant for faculty Sep 21, 2018 4:30 PM Bowling Green State University has been awarded a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant of $984,484 to support the “BGSU ALLIES: Building Inclusive Leadership Practices and Policies to Transform the Institution” project. This award is given to qualifying institutions demonstrating a desire for social and institutional reform.

  • Mike Stern headlines Orchard Guitar Festival Sep 21, 2018 3:21 PM Acclaimed jazz guitarist Mike Stern, who first made his mark in the early 1980s playing with Miles Davis, will headline the 2018 Orchard Guitar Festival at BGSU. The festival will take place Sept. 28-29 at the Moore Musical Arts Center, and also features guitarists Adam Schlenker and Jack Petersen.

  • Summer Experience: Grad student rides 2,900 miles to raise money, awareness Sep 3, 2018 12:00 AM Bowling Green State University graduate student Kristi Walker spent nine weeks of her summer break fundraising, biking and building affordable housing in communities from Key West, Florida, to Calais, Maine. She raised $5,500 through a nine-week, 2,900-mile “Keys 2 Canada” bike ride with the nonprofit organization Bike and Build.
