Faculty Resources
The Division of Research supports faculty in the acquisition, performance and administration of projects and programs funded from sources outside the University. Sponsored projects and programs include research, public service, instruction and other scholarly or creative activities funded by external organizations.
The Division serves as the central points of coordination for grants, sponsored projects, agreements, memorandum, cooperative and other agreements, as well as contractual obligations from individuals, government, public and non-profit agencies and industrial, financial and private organizations to support sponsored activities at BGSU.
A Proposal QuickStart Survey, the first step in initiating a proposal, should be completed at least 2 months before the sponsor’s due date as proposal preparation time can vary widely, from a few weeks to a year (for very complex projects). However, the minimum timeline is ten (10) business days (i.e., Monday through Friday). To ensure on time submission, all required documents must be shared with your Sponsored Programs Coordinator at least five (5) business days (i.e., Monday through Friday) prior to the sponsor’s deadline.
