Student Leadership Assistants
The Student Leadership Assistants assist the C. Raymond Marvin Center for Student Leadership by researching, developing, administering and assessing a broad array of student leadership development and educational programs.

The C. Raymond Marvin Center for Student Leadership will be hiring Student Leadership Assistants for the 2022-2023 Academic Year. We are looking for students with a passion for leadership and social change.
2022-2023 ACADEMIC YEAR APPLICANTS:
The deadline to apply for the 2022-2023 Academic Year SLA Application closes on January 24th at 11:59 p.m. Applicants will be interviewed and selected by early March 2022 and be expected to attend training before the end of Spring semester.

Learn about student leadership assistants in the Marvin Center for Student Leadership
The SLAs are a group of students passionate about leadership and social change. The various functions of the SLA position culminate in supporting the mission, vision, and values of the Marvin Center for Student Leadership.
SLAs work in the Marvin Center as paraprofessional undergraduate student employees with tasks such as:
- Leadership program development
- Outreach to and consultation with other student organizations and university departments
- Representing Marvin Center at various events and on various committees
- Event planning for the Marvin Center for initiatives such as Leadership Academy and the BGSU Leadership Achievement Award
Request a presentation or retreat if your organization or club would like the Student Leadership Assistants to facilitate a workshop, retreat, or session. They are able to plan individualized sessions for your group or present a standard session. SLAs can also proive One-on-One (1:1) consultations. One-on-Ones are 30 minute meetings with an SLA uniquely based on content requested by you.
SLAs are a resource for guiding you through leadership content and materials. One-on-One meetings are conversation based.
