Wellness Ambassadors
Ambassadors build communication, leadership, public speaking, teamwork, and presentation skills.
Wellness Ambassadors in the Office of Health and Wellness are peer educators who contribute to the safety and well-being of campus by presenting to classes, organizations, Greek Life, departments, athletic teams, and other groups. They encourage students to be engaged bystanders and better navigate the collegiate experience. This program supports student leadership on health and safety issues – no matter the group, specialized health interest, or social affiliation.
The Wellness Ambassador experience gives students the confidence to believe in themselves and the power of influence they have on others. For some, it is a life-changing moment for themselves or someone they help. Upon completion of training, Wellness Ambassadors can assist in creating presentations, developing scripts, and presenting and attending national and regional peer education related conferences.
Wellness Ambassadors are part of the Health, Safety, and Well-Being Initiatives of NASPA.
