Facility Rentals

The PFH is primarily utilized for scheduled weekday activity by physical education classes in the morning and early afternoon, intercollegiate athletics in the early to late afternoon, and intramural sports and sport clubs in the evening. These groups, along with other organizations, may also be scheduled on some weekends.

Irwin Belk Track Room

Gymnasium with 4 basketball/volleyball courts (3 hardwood, synthetic), surrounded by a 200-meter track. Includes court-specific lighting and room divider.

Irwin Belk Track Room $315/hr Gymnasium with 4 basketball/volleyball courts (3 hardwood, 1 synthetic), surrounded by a NCAA D-1, 200-meter track. Includes court-specific lighting 4-sided divider curtains for each court. Bleacher seating option(s) included at this price.
Irwin Belk Track Only
$200/hr This NCAA D-1, 200-meter track can be reserved on its own as this price does not include the 4 interior courts (3 hardwood, 1 synthetic), which may be reserved as a separate rental at the discretion of PFH staff. If the Track Room is a "shared rental" the interior court(s) are enclosed by the 4-sided divider curtains.
Single Court $80/hr Includes a full length basketball court (95ft x 100ft) with two baskets and various marked lines for multiple sports like Volleyball, Dodgeball, etc.. (3 courts hardwood; 1 synthetic). Discounts available for multiple court bookings.  
Jack Gregory Turf Room $350/hr 100-yd long, 60-yd wide, synthetic turf with high ceiling for most outdoor activities. Room divider allows area to be split in half. Four batting nets located at the north end of the Turf Room with batting L-screens included in rental. Soccer goals or lacrosse goals may also be used at no additional cost.
North 1/2 Turf Room with Batting Nets
$200/hr Center net dropped to split room in half, (50-yd long x 60-yd wide).
North ½ includes 4 batting nets.
South 1/2 Turf Room $150/hr Center net dropped to split room in half, (50-yd long x 60-yd wide). South ½ has no batting nets.
Meeting Room $40/hr Seating capacity is 75 for classroom chairs in rows and 50 for use with round or rectangular tables.
Conference Room $40/hr Conference table and comfortable chairs for up to 12.
Sports Care Center No Charge Three trainer tables (supplies not included) and an ice machine.
Foyer No Charge
Large foyer with natural lighting, suitable for event registration.

* Access to the facility for rentals prior to 8 AM Monday - Friday, or prior to 9 AM on Saturday or Sunday, AND/OR after 11 PM any day of the week, carries an additional $250 per hour early/late access charge to the hourly rental rates noted above.

  • PA system – Public address microphone for Track Room (1 available)

Soccer Goals – No Charge

  • Regulation soccer goals – Official size soccer goals (2 available)
  • Small soccer goals – Slightly smaller than regulation goals (6 available)

Staff (over 2) – $20/hr per person

  • As determined by PFH management

Terms and Conditions

Facility Reservations: All PFH reservations must be initiated with the completion of the Request Form located at the BGSU Recreation and Wellness webpage link, http://www.bgsu.edu/offices/sa/recwell/.

Rental Contracts: An agreement between BGSU and a user group to provide facility access at an agreed upon rate, for an agreed upon length and/or term. Rental contracts are not valid unless they have been signed, dated, submitted with the required “Deposit” as stipulated in the contract language and a notification acknowledging such actions has been communicated by PFH management.

Rental Periods: All rentals will include information about transition time between groups when scheduled back-to-back.  “On deck” groups will be permitted to enter the activity room along the walls 10 minutes before their reservation officially begins, in order to warm up, without interfering with the current group on the playing surface.

Rental Deposits: At the time of signing a PFH Rental Contract, a deposit amount and due date may be specified, in order to lock in the reservation.

Event Operation Charges: Based on the size, scope and length of the rental event, additional charges may be included in the contract to account for extra equipment, PFH facility staff, security and/or medical personnel and facility custodial supplies/staff beyond daily operational levels.

Payments: At times, rental contracts require full payment with the submitted signed PFH Rental Contract. For multi-date rental contracts, monthly invoices will be sent, with payment required as stated (usually within 30 days). Failure to submit payment on time may result in cancellation of contract and forfeiture of initial rental deposit.

Cancellations: A signed contract may be canceled only by the original signee or a BGSU Recreation and Wellness designee.  Cancellations made prior to 30 days of any facility reservation result in 100% refund of rental deposit. Any cancellations made 29 days or fewer prior to the 1st scheduled event result in 100% forfeiture of rental deposit, and may impact future rental opportunities for the group.

Contract Revisions: For rental contracts consisting of consecutive day usage of the entire Track and/or Turf Room, requests to revise a reservation contract must be submitted in writing via email 7 calendar days prior to scheduled event. All other requests to revise a contract must be submitted 14 calendar days prior to date of session in question for fee adjustment consideration by the PFH Management. The Licensee is responsible for all financial obligations in original contract if changes do not meet the guidelines listed above.

Insurance: BGSU requires all non-BGSU users with a signed rental contract to have general liability insurance coverage in the amount of $1,000,000/occurrence/person, and general aggregate $2,000,000. Coverage must include bodily injury, property damage, personal injury, contractual liability, fire legal liability, medical payments, and sexual molestation/abuse if the Licensee is interacting with minors.
