Seat Belt Usage

Buckle Up. Every Trip. Every Time.
  • Wood County strives to obtain 100% seat belt usage with all drivers and passengers
  • As of December 2024, Wood County was at 99.20% of seat belt usage at the last traffic count. During 2024, 62% of our fatal crashes involved unbelted persons, which is 100% preventable.
  • Buckling up is the most important safety measure you can take to protect yourself in a crash to keep you safe and secure.
  • Seat belts are the best defense against impaired, aggressive and distracted drivers.
